Default tranny
My transimmsion is starting to stutter (slip)- about 15% of the time, always in 5th trying to go back to 4th. I've heard it should not be touched (change fluid, etc...). My question is how long could I expect it to stay as is before it deteriorates? '98 A8, 124K mi

It might be the torque converter, not the entire transmission....
