Hysteresis conditions from unforseen circumstances .. that has NEVER happened in engineering before!

Thanks to everyone for the ideas and feedback !!!!

I'll keep in touch with everyone on what further items I can uncover. What I have been able to come up with since last Saturday evening is -

1. Method for testing temp sensor effects (in process).
2. Investigation into various tools (Dataman, Needhams EMP-20, etc.).

I actually want to extend this further, long term, on how we can develop our owns TCU's or "hide" manual transmission conversions from the controllers. There are companies providing piggy-back tranny controllers, by I haven't found anything for our ZF/Bosch combos.

This is actually what I am trying to solve.

The hunting issue is secondary for me, I want the TCU to either not engage the lock-up at all in tip mode, or lock-up at an even lower speed.

The continual shuffling of the lockup in second and third gears while in tip mode is quite annoying.
