The design is pretty nice imo, but the prob is if you compare the evolution of the design from the old gen to the new gen, it isnt much of a leap. Fine it beats the 7 series by far, but i dont really think it beats the s class. If you look at the S Class design compared to old school, u'll see out it worked out so well. Hopefully Audi might put more revolutionary designs in the inside, but as for as the outside goes, good, but nothing special:-I

Personally, I like what I see, but want to see it in person first before I kill it......I think Audi might have gotten a bit conservative after seeing what happened to BMW with the 745 disaster. I'm curious to see the interior, hopefully they don't have the "I" drive POS like BMW does

I do agree though, I do have a weakness for the s500, thats a really nice looking car, elegant, sophisticated......I think Audi builds a much better car, and I promise you that the new 8's interior will be much better in terms of finish than the S500, but the exterior lines of that car are pretty close to perfect, IMHO

But still less significant than one would expect. And don't worry about Audi's MMI (Multi Media Interface). It is much easier and much more intuitive to use than BMW's I-Drive (Intuitive Drive). MMI is probably much less dangerous to operate than I-Drive when driving as well. In addition, MMI is much less complex than I-Drive without being overly simple, which usually (but not always) makes for better electrical reliability. As far as the exterior/interior styling design of the new A8/A8L goes, both look great in pictures. It will probably look just as great or better in person. The new 7 Series exterior styling/design looks terrible in person and even worse in pictures. However the 7 Series interior styling/design looks great in pictures but a little better in person and second only to the new A8/A8L interior styling/design.
