XM Unit - I've been lied to again
To the good people on this list who've been told that the XM units for D3's are not available anywhere... you received better info than I.
Actully, I showed up at my dealer this morning with a heavy dose of skeptism about the availablity of the unit because of the experiences of the people here.
My dealer (Pass & Weisz in Burlington, MA) claimed that they had the unit IN STOCK 4 weeks ago when I made my installation appointment
They swore yesterday when I spoke to both the service and parts departments to verify that they are looking at the correct part number, and that they can LAY EYES on the part.
But this morning, after waiting an hour, I was told that the part is "back ordered". The service dork only had lame excuses for their error.
Since the dealer is an hour's drive away, I just wasted another 3 hours of my life because they are so un professional that they aren't able to answer simple questions like "is the part in stock".
So, add my name to the "wait" list for XM.

If you had an appointment they should reimburse you
gas mileage at 37.5 cents a mile. Of course, your next appointment may be a bit testy! You should bring it to the GM's attention though. You could get a free ( inbetween ) oil change perhaps.
