Default 18282 - Valve for torque support mount (short +)

I'm getting this code on my 2004 A8L. Anyone ever see this before?

What does it do ?
Where is it located ?
Advice on repair ?

Thanks
Joe

Default I'm sure it has electrical power to it

The facelift D2's have motor mounts that are electric.....they power them up/down or somehow to prevent a lot of vibration to the chasis.

The torque support is the thing in the front right of the engine (passenger side) that prevents it from torquing in a clockwise/counter clockwise direction.

You have posted 18282 (VAG code), if the SAE code is: P1874, P1875 or P1876, then there is a TSB on this.....TSB 10-07-01, which basically disconnects the electrical power supply to the torque support and tells you to put a "dummy" resistor in place of it so you don't get the code. It doesn't trip the MIL, but it will be a stored code.

Or just do nothing. Disconnecting it is the same thing.

I'll email you the TSB.

Mine does the same thing every month or so. It usually will rest itself after a week. I think mine already has resister but it still does it.

There is a TSB to unplug the mount and cap off the connections.

Default Mine has stored the same fault

Since day one. I simply ignore it as it means nothing.

yeah you install a resistor in place to trick the ecm, you can just ignore it, won't cause CEL
