2004 Audi A8, Battery diconnected now it won't start at all
I have a 2004 Audi A8L. Recently I disconnect the battery, but when the battery was reconnected it would not start, and the windows would not roll up, although the battery is fully charged. When the ignition is turned it makes absolutely no sound, although the seats and lights work. The dash doesn't light up at all. This car worked perfectly before. I am lost. If anyone has any knowledge on this particular situation please feel free to chime. I am completely baffled.

IF battery isn't dead, sounds like you may have blown...
the kill system that activates in accidents and shuts down the motor related items. IIRC it is that plastic shrouded big black contraption with the heavy power cables bolted to it (and the small plug connected wire harness) right near the battery itself.

I've ran into such an issue before on a previous A8 project. It was the first thing I looked into. No cigar though. Many power function work on my car but its headlights, and power to the seats, but it will not turn over at all.

After some heavy troubleshooting, I have come to the conclusion that it is a bad ignition switch. I believe someone may have had the key in the ignidoes anyone have any experience with this issue? Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thanks in advance.
