When you post a post without specifics, you have no response LOL.

I did ask a very specific question about the timing chain and guides. Nobody has provided an answer.

Actually if you Google on the 07 vs 06- you can get quite a few +/- on these engines. Not many people seem to do research on what they're going to buy. I did and I wrote the article which if you read, I did list everything. There's never a simple answer, people are too lazy to even read let alone research to find more info. It took me months before I found my 06 and a close to perfect one. The forum can only do so much for people, it's up to them to find out what's best. Not many seem to follow the right advice anyhow, they just ask for the sake of asking LOL.
Cheers and good luck,

Trust Audi engineering and your luck, don't be a worry wart. Find an honest owner, he/she will tell you everything, the worst case is $6k down the drain. My advice is don't buy cheap, abused walking wounded car.
When test drive car, make sure the engine is cold, if the warm up the car, don't buy it. Drive until it warmed up and listen to noise, if you're hard of hearing bring someone with good ears. Bring your whole family, they will notice things that you miss.
$90k car is bought for $6k, that's is too good to be true but with A8, it is, especially based model.
