Default for anyone considering an A8 to S8 nose conversion - it isn't plug and play on 05' W12's

heard from my shop that more then a bit of "fabrication" and tweaking is needed to make the fogs and bumperskin line up. But only to the tune of 3-4 hours. Still worth it in my mind but unexpected given that I assumed the sheet-metal and underlying parts were the same.

Perhaps there are differences specific to the W12 ? I've heard the A8L 4.2 to S8 was easy.....

Regardless I hope to have the car early next weeks and post pics of the results !

Cheers ~

Default There is a recent TSB on pre vs./ post facelift S8's too

Presumably referring to the 2008's vs. prior ones. Says the fenders need to be modified to fit a post-facelift S8 bumper to the earlier S8's. If it applies even w/in the S8's, I could guess it would apply to 4.2's and probably W12's too.

Don't know which S8 bumper version you are using though.
