Audi A8L W12 Oil pressure
Oil pressure warning light came in today, stopped engine and restarted light came back on after 5 mins, stopped again and restarted light came on agin after 5 mins. oil level OK. Anyone had any similar problem? I am hoping it is sensor and not pump.. Where is the sensor located?
The light has me worried as oil & filter changed 3 months ago and no problems until today.

I'm thinking if it's a bad sensor, it would show a lack of oil pressure at all times not after 5 minutes.

On the W12, it should be...
integrated into the large housing where the oil filter canister screws in on the side of it. That's a very large casting overall and the sensor screws into it somewhere. I vaguely recall seeing it in the past, perhaps from the upper side under the air box (once removed). I was changing the oils today but didn't see it underneath; on the other hand I didn't have it jacked up much at all so I couldn't get my head way under there for a close up look see.
