I'll check out the thread, but my intent is to utilize a standard A2DP Bluetooth receiver in conjunction with the cable from here: http://a2dp4audi.netmagi.com/, with my 2G MMI. I have all the necessary parts, just need to install it. Of course the vendor at netmagi sells a complete kit, but I decided to take a slightly different route on mine.

More to come this weekend I hope.

I'm curious if it will show the song name, artist, internet station, etc, like Visee does

Update: No it does not show the song name or any information. In fact all is says on the MMI is: External Device is active.

Now...I can honestly say that I LOVE having this functionality, although I do miss not having MMI control, but I may be able to live with it. More to come shortly as I'll post the pictures of the installation and give my recommendations during installation.

if you already have the AUX input, just get a blackberry remote bluetooth gateway for $40 and you will have A2DP (music streaming). Only thing you will need to do is hard wire the power for it somewhere. a lot of people connect it either to one of the side fuses or to the cigarette lighter
