Hi all, I need to replace the driver side headlight in my 07 S8. Please tell me the entire front bumper does not need to come off the car in order to do so. I know how to remove the bumper but i am tryign to avoid that. It looks like there should be an easy enough way to get the light out without removing the bumper....Thanks!

The bulb is replaced by removing the plastic fender liner that is in the front 60% or so of the wheel well. Then you go in from behind.

In case that it is whole light bumper cover has to come off. We may ask Art why.

I agree, if it is just the light, and not the whole headlight system, you should be able to do it from the front wheel well. Just remove the two piece liner and there is access (did it on the passenger side of my '07 about a year ago). Be sure power is off for quite a while, and be careful of the exciter. I used rubber gloves with leather gloves on top of them as 'belt and suspenders' caution of high voltage.

very difficult to remove the front bumper, I did it on my previous A8. The whole procedure including pictures can be found on Paul W. Audipages under D3 A8 procedures
