Ipod wiring adapter

I doubt it works nearly as well as the AMI
There not clear information as to how it works in that link, but it sounds like it's an enhanced radio broadcaster. I assume the fidelity is not as good, and that there is no MMI control of the iPod as a result. It also seems a bit confusing in that the "radio" for the A8 is in the trunk, not near the dashboard, so it might require quite a bit of line snaking through the car.

As it claims to connect to the back of the radio and there is no "radio" as such ..
and the A8 system is optical so it is hard to comprehend or believe that this unit is in any way compatible with a D3 A8

If you want a cheap solution for an IPod
Just install an AV input into your TV tuner for $20 and run a phone cable from the rear to the centre console.
Easy as you remove bottom of the rear seats and pull through the console.
You will do it for around $30 USD and it works perfectly..
If you have a TV tuner of course....
