Just found a small number of the Audi OE AMI to AD2P add on kits
I mentioned it in a recent post here, which in turn has a link to a description of what it is: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...php?p=24493580 To be clear, you MUST have AMI already installed for this to work. It wont magically stream into MMI somehow without the Audi Music Interface already being there, since the bluetooth receiving module for it plugs directly into the AMI unit in the glove box.
I happened to be poking at ebay uk, and came upon a listing (not mine of course) for the device matching the Audi part number 4F0-051-510-J. Then I realized it was here in CA, so I traced it back to regular ebay.com. Here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUDI-OEM-4F0-051-510-J-Cellular-Phone-Hands-Free-Kit-Bluetooth-Streaming-Audio-/161119712448?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25837bb4c0&vxp=mtr
They say they have three still. I got mine from audiusaparts before it got discontinued. As I mentioned, it plugs into the AMI unit instead of the iPod or other available cables. Having used it some, it functioned essentially the same as the D4 built-in AD2P capability.

It's pretty basic on MMI tie in
You get to it via the AMI menu, which in turn is with the CD area. Assuming the device is paired, you can forward and go back a track, which you can also do with the console buttons. You can select "Control" like with regular AMI or a CD, and then fast forward, rewind, etc. It doesn't display any track sort of identifier info. There is a playlist option, but at least on mine it's greyed out. I haven't ever fooled with that though in the AD2P context, though have and use them via the hardwire AMI connection.
Thus, some basic control, but mostly I think it assumes you would control it from the device. Since it isn't trapped in the glove box like a typical AMI cable connected device, that's more practical. I don't stream from a service, but since the basic connection is there, I would imagine the same generally device based control.
