Lane change and departure assistant retrofit
#11
The Side (or something like that) Assist is the one that have the indication on the mirrors. Think thats a bit odd that when replacing a steering wheel i loose the Side Assist? As that only shows a yellowis light on the mirrors?
Anyone else any thoughts about that?

Thread revive! My left sensor has gone bad in my bumper. Do I need to remove the bumper to replace the lane change/side assist sensor?
Edit-I read the repair manual. Bumper cover must be removed.

Hi guys.
I have started retrofitting restyling side mirrors with lane change assist...
Got mirrors (took them together with whole door wiring from the donor car), master and slave "things" (to be fitted into the rear bumper, took them together with wiring loom as well), interior button, interior frontal camera.
Yesterday I have installed one mirror together with wiring from the donor car (on the passenger side) and it was quite hard job, but the surprise was that I couldn't find any place to plug the additional 3 pin connector (that comes with facelifted mirrors. That's the only difference in between old mirror and facelifted one).
Although, I have replaced the mirror together with wiring loom (!!!). It is very bizarre.
Today I'm gonna do the driver side...

Finished.
Replaced both mirrors together with wiring.
Unfortunately, yellow led turning lights stay permanently on, can't find out why. Also, seat memory buttons stopped saving positions.
have no idea what can be modified to solve these problems.

Had to conduct one wire from fender into the door to the mirror yellow wire.
Now the turn lights in the mirrors work fine, can't make work window lifts and other buttons though. Including mirror position regulation buttons.
Those door controllers need coding or something. Don't have any ideas yet. Nevertheless, I placed the old door controllers back.
