location of valve for torque support mount

I was just looking at Bentley....it says to remove the air filter housing and right front headlight, and then drill a 1" diameter hole through the frame holding the torque mount so you can get to one of the bolts. There's no way to loosen that bolt without drilling that hole?

Is this the same as engine mounts. I have this fault code so i follow the instructions from Audi TSB to install a resistor to the right engine mount but the fault code remains and in addition another fault code from the right engine solenoid mountAddress 01: Engine Labels: 077-910-560-BFM.clb

darry_99, I just replaced the torque mount following Bentley, and it went reasonably well. A couple of the bolts are a little tricky to remove, but all in all it was an intermediate type repair. I have some cliff notes for the process if you are interested.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has some detailed instructions or could writeup how they removed this front upper rt torque mount without taking off the bumper and putting the front in service position. I have a 2009 FSI 8 cylinder. Though its staring right at me, it seems like it's more complicated than removing airbox and headlight.
thanks in advance
thanks in advance

The clamping arm is the problem, or rather having room to unscrew one of the three bolts upwards is the issue as it is blocked. You might be able to do it without removing the bumper cover if you removed the headlight assembly as well.
If you take the airbox out you will get a better visual idea if this would fly.
The workshop manual has diagrams and instructions on where to drill a hole in the carbon-fiber shroud blocking the upward removal of the bolt.
DasuberS8 had a novel way of making access with a Sawzall or jigsaw rather than making a hole; if you're OK with cutting off part of the carbon-fiber front brace.
Ignore the fact the bumper cover is off in this image. The V10 is the same as our BVJ's in this area.
**Having problems adding images but Ill try in the next post.
Images in Post 14 19 and 20 of DasuberS8's thread will give you the idea

With the headlight and airbox out of the way you should be able to access the area discussed with the bumper cover still on.
