Oil catch can 4.2 FSI

I suppose you could install two (2) catch cans but the problem is locating them in an already tight engine bay. I've been racking my brain trying to find a good location that doesn't require removing parts to access.

This was just 10 minutes of letting it idle.
I originally installed this to resolve the blow by i was getting. The intake was a mess of oil. Took me a day of cleaning it out. Will update after 100 miles.
This setup is temporary. Notice how i used the original (New and installed last month) valve cover breather hose. I will clean it up once I figure out a better routing.

Very interesting. Does the 4.2L V8 have only one valve cover breather? The V-10 has one on each bank. I was thinking of just routing both to a "Y" fitting and to a single catch can. Probably mount it over on the right side.

Yes, It took me 2 days to be satisfied with that answer. Bank one pulls vacuum to the front and into the intake. The tube from Bank one goes to nothing and there is nothing but an empty cavity. It would make sense to just cap off that valve cover hole and then remove the tube and or plug it. For your V-10 that would make sense. I had an X4 4.8i and both sides vented. One side vented the dirty air/oil mist out and the other side was the "clean side" but still had oily mist. I just got back from driving and it is amazing. Maybe its in my head and I am bias because i know how clean it is.

If they both routers to the PCV or individually had a PCV I would do two.

Haven't gotten around mine yet. Too many ongoing projects.
BTW, did you every install the injector cleaner "lubricator" after the catch can?
My car is at 50K kms (31K mi), but I want to start early.
