question, Temperature SENDER and SENSOR
Hi.
vehicle: A8L 2004
issue: at startup, mostly when engine cool in morning, my high speed fan comes on for 20-30secs.
it sounds like a jet engine.
I have no error code.
it has been suggested that I change the TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
when searching the part, I noticed there is also a TEMPERATURE SENDER.
does my vehicle have bothe a SENDER and a SENSOR for coolant temp ??
there is a post here for locating the SENSOR but not the SENDER.
any advice much appreciated, as these 2 parts are each under $20 and a DIY fix

That's just different word for the same think. It can be something with air conditioning rather than the sensor you are looking at. Outside temperature sensor too. I would wait for a code before starting random replacing. If it lasts just for a short time when you start the engine it is not too bad.
