Radio Code
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Maybe if a different "radio module" was installed in your car other that the one from the factory, then it may need to have the component protection bit "removed" to communicate with the engine ECU etc. That is a dealer item only in North America unless there is some black market method that I am unaware of.
And then i gave him a short lecture about that the radio isn't exactly possible to steal from these, because it's integrated into the car, and if one would steal the radio box from the trunk, or some other electric parts, they have "component protection".
Component protection means, that if you want to swap a used part, you need to go to the dealer (or someone with "arbites"), and get the part "cleared" from "component protection". Otherwise the swapped part will NOT work, if it has not been installed in the car from the factory, or it is a brand new unused part.
These component protection parts have a sc. "virgin state", they will accept any car they are connected to, but this is when the parts are new, or cleared By either the dealer or with an "arbites" device.
So a short answer to your question about a radio code: There is NOT one in A8 D3 2003-2009.
Thanks again.
