Would the double glass deter you from carrying a weapon?, why?

Solution Solved! Well kind of, ever thought of mounting it on the passenger side? Only problem would be that it would be visible to the outside people if your windows aren't tinted.

No. It might give me a little more time to get my carry off my body though depending on the situation.
Stop light carjacking is becoming all too common here.

I want immediate, natural access without thinking about it so it has to be very close to me.
They are tinted but not limo tint like when I got it. Had to get that legal before letting my Deputy Sheriff buddy drive it

Gina (forgot her handle) posted pictures of the dash and console cover removed. I'm sure someone else here can recall her handle so you can view the photos. Also, you can quite easilyremove the ashtray (the mech itself after removing the insert) and look down there. IIRC, you can mount by drilling and tapping using 8-32 short machine screws with now worry since the console material is quite thick. Just drill through the material and and stop. Use a drill bit limiter if you worry about controlling the drill motor.

Since the D3 has knee air bags you may want to check what direction they deploy before mounting anything to the underside of the steering column.
