<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/89294/img_3561.jpg">

I was able to pick up my 2005 A8L after 5 days in service. Here's the results of the lengthy list of repairs I ordered:

:15K Service - DONE

:Wiper Blades: Please install winter blades - $39.00

:Wiper Fluid Nozzles: Please adjust driver side window nozzle to cover lower left portion of windscreen - DONE @ N/C

:Key Batteries: One of the 2 keys is dead - DONE @ N/C

:TPMS: Has not been functioning since mileage 11K - TSB_DONE @ N/C

:Rear Sun Screen: Does not retract correctly - DONE @ N/C

:Auto Trunk: Does not open from remote or door switch correctly. Sometimes does not close correctly - NEW HINGES ORDERED WHICH MUST PAINTED TO MATCH AND INSTALLED THIS WEEK

:Rotate and balance tires: This was to be done for NC at 5K but was not performed - $59.00

:Sunroof: Not operating correctly. A severe grinding noise occurs when opened and closed - DONE @ N/C

:Rear Passenger-side Door: Belt-line trim loose. Pops off when the door is opened - NEW BELT TRIM ORDERED WHICH MUST BE PAINTED TO MATCH AND INSTALLED WITH TRUNK HINGES THIS WEEK

:Left Front Wheel bearing or brake grinding: I can feel it thru the pedals and steering wheel - TECHNICIAN ATTRIBUTED TO TIRE NOISE_I AM NOT CONVINCED

:HVAC Odor: On start up smells like a soiled diaper. When on heat the system smells continually - TSB: 4 HOUR FUMAGATION REQUIRED

:Replace Rear Window Tinting: Salesman had noted on delivery that the tinting was not correct and that he would replace it. The tint needs to cover the entire frame of glass and not expose the brake light - CANNOT REMOVE TINT AS RADIO ANTENNA IS LOCATED ON INTERIOR OF GLASS SURFACE - I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!

rivers Side Paint Touch Ups: Scratches need to be touched up on drivers door, drivers-side passenger door and rear quarter panel. Noted on delivery - DEALER EXECUTED FULL DETAIL AND BUFFED OUT SCRATCHES_N/C

:Full Detailing: Salesman owes me a detail. When I took delivery of the car the interior was filthy - DONE @ N/C

:Right Rear Passenger Seat: Plastic button for the child-seat restraint system is broken - CLAIMED THAT IT WAS FIXED BUT ON FURTHER REVIEW IT WAS NOT

:Front Drink Holder: The aluminum discs at the bottom of the holder are missing - DEALER ORDERED NEW '05 TRAY BUT IT ALSO HAS NO ALUMINUM DISCS. WILL ORDER AN '06 W12 VERSION.

:Front Window Seals: Inside of windows are coated with water after roll down even days after rain or wash - DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL_WTF!

:Clear Bra: Edges are pulling up and drivers side mirror has bubbles. EU license plate frame needs to have clear bra installed - NOT DONE

So I'll be back to the dealer this week.

Default They sure didn't get the design right on the trunk hinge and closing

They got rid of the auto close shortly after introduction, correct?

I would hate to buy one of these cars that didn't have a full warranty.....the dealer is trying to fix design and assembly errors! That's scary.

Hopefully by the time the car is out of warranty, the software will be stable, little pieces fixed, etc. so poor soles like me can buy one.

Trunk Hinge problem is Aluminium hinges with a central steel pivot pin = Electro-chemical Corrosion

Default Re: Admit it...

I'm dealing with it.

As I said before, if I didn't have an awesome service advisor, I'd be going postal over this...
