should the pcv valve be sucking air thru the top
should the pcv valve be sucking air thru the top of it at all times? im getting a lean reading on bank 1 and bank 2 is this normal? if i block it with my finger the engine speed changes

you probably need a new valve. Trust me on this...purchase an genuine Audi brand. I just went through 2 inferior valves and finally paid the money for OEM. I purchased off ebay from an Audi vendor ("audi.exchange") as it was the cheapest with free ship. He shipped fast too.

Hmmm, I've been driven nuts lately by those codes, if this works I'll buy you a beer!
Does yours have the hose off the top or the vented "puck", and where was the air going? Through the vent?
