Steering wheel squeak
2007 A8 with a squeaking steering wheel when turning, not binding, just squeaking but dont want to spray silicone or other lubricant because of wiring....any suggestions?

Probably the "clock spring"
The component that interconnects the wiring from the steering wheel buttons, airbag, horn, etc to the steering column and wiring harness. It is in a plastic encased module sandwiched between the wheel and the end of the steering column so I doubt you will even get spray in there. Have at it (with rags for the mess) but expect a wheel pull and part replace is the likely full fix.
