Is there any good way to look across dealerships for an A8?

Is there any good way to look across dealerships for an A8?
I'm working under the idea that I'll get a better deal if I find a car on a lot, than ordering one.
(As I've mentioned in previous threads) I am looking for an A8L with most of the options. When I look on Autotrader.com or Cars.com, you see a list of everything that the car has on it. It even lists "airbags" and things that every A8 has. I find it difficult to sort through the cars.
On the audi.com website, I can only find cars by looking at each dealership. I've tried putting in a zip code for nearby cities, like Chicago. Then I go to each dealership's website and google their dealership's name so I can get to their REAL website where they are allowed to list their inventory. Then I look through their inventory with the options listed. This is a PITA.
Has anyone else figured out a better way to find a car? I figure that if I go to my dealer and ask him to look at other dealers, he'll offer to bring in that car and then expect an arm and a leg for it. (I did that exact thing with my last car, which was a 2004 Carrera 4S.)
Someone else must have been through this, I'd appreciate your help.

Re: Is there any good way to look across dealerships for an A8?
I have a 2006 A8 that was located at another dealer. My dealer went on to an Audi site that showed him all cars available with the options that I wanted. I don't know what the site was called but I sat there with him while he did the search. He found a few cars that were what I wanted, and then he secured a car within 48 hours from a dealer 180 miles away. I paid the same amount that I would have if he had the car because I negotiated a price based upon a similar car that he had in stock. End of the day I recieved a great A8 with the specs that I wanted and I didn't have to wait for an order.

Same experience. The dealer located mine at the dock in Europe..
They advised me of the ship date, arrival date etc. I had a 4 week wait but I got almost what I wanted.
The Audi system is reasonably comprehensive.

here is what I want:
Here is how I'd build out a 2006 on the Audi.com website, although I'd take a 2005 with the equivalent options:
Premium package $4,000
Individual options:
Destination Charge $720
Sirius® Satellite Radio $550
Front seat ventilation and massage $1,500
Customer Order options*:
Sport package with all-season tires $2,800
Adaptive Cruise Control $2,100
Solar sunroof $650
Dual-paned security glass $600

There isn't anything new in that config avail...
For an '05 you will just have to look at photos and call to ask. Sirius and the glass are the only two items you can't tell by looking at photos.

so there isn't any easy way to look across dealerships...
from my own home?
I was hoping someone would point me to a part of the audi.com website where you can find the cars, like the dealers do.
