Turn assist light bulb part number
Need to replace the turn assist and HID bulb on the passenger headlight. I have the part number for the HID bulb but can't find the type of turn assist bulb. Anyone know the bulb type for the turn assist?
Car is a 2009 S8, US model.
Thanks,
Kris

I guess I will need to remove the old turn assist bulb to find this bulb number. Was really hoping to order it with the headlight bulb so I would not have to make a trip to the parts store in the middle of the project?
Any ideas on other places I could search to find this number?
Thanks

Tom,
Thanks for the suggestion, I have tried the online vendors. They all use the same parts diagram which does not include the headlight housing with the turn assist light. All of the diagrams appear to show the housing with a high beam bulb where my LED daytime running lights are. I am sure that the actual bulb is just a standard type available at most auto parts stores or online but I can't find the bulb type / number.
Will probably just get it at the dealer so I don't have to search around for it in the middle of installing the new main headlight bulb. Was hoping someone with the repair manual would know the bulb type/number.
Thanks

Someone will; just give it time.
Also have you seen the site A8Parts.ukhttp://a8parts.co.uk/? They can be helpful for non-standard parts. Or Jim Ellis Audi's parts site has some extensive and confusing parts diagrams.

Unfortunately, it is not so cut and dry, ETKA doesn't have a listing for "Turn assist bulb", it does however have quite a few listed as "bulb", "bulb longlife", "bulb turn signal", "bulb with black base turn signal" and "bulb blue glass", so as you can see it can be a little tricky. Where in the housing does this bulb reside?

I remember that older ETKA had that exact configuration with a bulb on an angle. New one doesn't, but under Headlamps For Curve Lighting there is a halogen bulb H8 12 V 35W that can't have other function. Part number: N 105 295 01. I would buy quality H8 bulb in any store and exchange it if it doesn't fit. Everything is cheaper than going to a dealer. Sorry guys.

This sounds believable,
if similar to my 2006 W12 which also has the cornering light feature. Philips shows an H8 for a 2009 S8.

From my W12, from the outside appearance through the lens it has always struck me as a halogen bulb like those found in fog lights. I tried to find a listing for mine, but it didn't come up.
