TV Module for A8 - Where?

Just curious but ...
an aftermarket audio installer told me the TV Tuner is already in the D3 models but not enabled. Can anyone with a D3 verify that or is this guy just confused? The reason I ask is that if it is really there, then I think we could take the latest UK NAV disk and replace the map files with US files and get the TV Tuner enabled (probably not that simple, may require some VAG trickery as well). What do you think?

It allows you to add an additional a/v source ...
to a functional euro model TV tuner (like a gaming system, etc.), does not do anything for us yanks. I already spoke to these guys, they do not know anything about how the US model TV Tuner is disabled.

It looks easy enough to remove the module
It's hard to say if the complete TV tuner is in there or not. I suspect the PCB is not populated in the tuner section. When I have time I think I'll answer this question. Maybe tommorow.
