Bluetooth cleanup
There is a known problem with the BT module, common on your m/y car, which is documented in the "Telephone RVU" TSB (which I've posted here several times) - perhaps you can search for an earlier post of mine with a link to the document - it explains that you need to replace the BT module if the SW-version = 0000.

Perhaps, and perhaps not, Grasshopper. Do you have access to your phone's Phonebook from the car?

Well, when it works there is a search function and it works better than one on AW. No scrolling.

2. 4F0 998 961 only $24 and you are sure that it is original factory burned CD.

1. You can retrofit OEM Bluetooth module instead of OnStar Module.

On AMI: eBay including ebay.co.uk and ebay.de
If you search by part # and say include description for search, you can sometimes pull it even if the rest of ad is in another language. Don't assume if you check worldwide from U.S. ebay it will pull Euro listings. I have found it often won't--including even other listings from the same seller when you save them and they end up in your USA saved items list.
If you say European Union search geography from either UK or Germany, that usually works, though you have to deal w/ German search words if the ad wasn't oriented to English readers. Ebay.de has a lot more used parts than Ebay uk (or Ireland) in my experience, and for high value or small + light stuff, the shipping charge is often still reasonable when netted against other (or no) options.

[QUOTE=mishar;24435375]CD's are very much official and update covered by Audi documentation. Some dealers have their own policy about this but that doesn't make them right. Updates are there because they cleared some bugs, adopted some low changes and enabled new phones to be properly connected.
You can buy CD's here. Part number: 4F0 998 961
Mishar. I have been reading thru these posts and u seem pretty knowledgeable, I need to upgrade my mmi, do I need to do it in order or can I go straight to the latest update? I believe I am running the lowest 2g high version. 06.00

Mishar has been dead for years.
Assuming a US market car; from 0600 you first have to update to 3360. Then you can update to 4610. You will also need Nav DVD version 5 or higher.
Depending on how early your car is, you may also need to replace the CANBUS gateway for things like audio pilot to work correctly after the updates. BTDT.
