Default wheel lug covers

What is the best way to remove the plastic lug covers on an A8L?

Default With the tool in the trunk

There is a little plastic U shaped tool in the trunk, about 4" long.

Just push it around the lug cap and pull it off.

The U part is about 1" long, and has two 3" arms coming off that.
