That's what I was hoping to get - is it annoying in anyway, e.g. if it is the active Source, does the OE stuff still come to focus automatically? Such as reverse cameras, car menu, phone call, or does it need some kind of intervention?

I had a Mr&Mrs12Volt in my D3 for bluetooth streaming audio and it was good but not perfect.
Only had it for less than 24 hours, but so far so good. No issues with with sourcing (I have it launch CarPlay automatically), hitting menu or etc quickly brings up the MMI UI, phone calls have been good through CarPlay (test call to the wife without installing the supplied mic and no issues with audio vice versa), had my wife call in and just scrolled to hit accept on the CarPlay menu and went right in, reverse and surround view work when engaging reverse and quickly. The best part is how quickly it CarPlay boots up, about 3 seconds at most. Apple Music sounds spectacular with my BO system (make sure you have your phone setup for lossless streaming).
So far only two quirks: lower left of the display is cutoff a bit and hitting the Parking sensor button doesn’t bring up the cameras. But with the added functionality, I don’t really care.
I recently installed a Wakaa CarPlay unit on my 2017 Q5 and everything works except for the sound has static. My car does not have MMI and I have a AMI to aux connector that connects to the unit but when I plug the Aux into the unit it sounds even worse than if I just leave it unplugged. My AMI to Aux cable could just be old but I’m not sure. Has anyone ran into this issue or knows how to solve it and make the sound clear and not have static? I have tried to contact Wakaa directly but they haven’t responded to any of my emails.
I apologize if this was mentioned already. I notice that when I set my MMI to control the stereo balance and then immediately go back to CarPlay, I can also control my RSNAV CarPlay using the Audi touchpad. I have to do that every time I start the car, but it’s still kinda cool.
hey guys, so i cant find the rsnav product on their website for my 2013 audi a8L: D4. does anyone know if they discontinued it? S4 Android 10.0 System for Audi – RS Nav
I think they discontinued it. They provide firmware updates, but don't sell it anymore. They now focus on selling the all in one units (screen included). Looks like Wakka is still selling their verison. I heard from many that it is also a great unit. It is mainly a 1 for 1 copy of the RSNAV. https://www.wakaa.us/products/apple-...e-kit-for-audi

well thank you . 1489 works. 🤓 one more question. after entering the code, I expected that it would be updated, but it asked me to put the USB with the software.... where can the software be downloaded?
