Default Center arm rests

This morning, after leaving the car, D4, outside which is rare, the arm rests were essentially locked! Couldn't lift them tho I could slide them. At noon the opened fine. Any chance they were frozen? It was cold, frost on the windshield but not THAT cold. Thoughts?

not to sound silly, but are you depressing the little tabs on the front of the armrests when you try to move them? I thought I had an issue with this when I first bought the car and didn't even know you could move the center arm rests. Took me few minutes to figure out how it worked. Again, I could just be being silly
