Level Control Compresor
2013 A8L, 3.0L, 131,000 miles
So, I have a left-front air strut that sprung a leak and kept drooping, but the system would pump it up and it would be alright for a while. I ordered and received a pair of air struts from Suncore (~$800), but due to "reasons", I couldn't do the swap, kept driving it and the strut eventually remained collapsed and now I'm pretty sure I've killed the compressor. So . . . time to replace the compressor, along with the struts.
Does anyone have real-world experience with Suncore compressors? They have what appears to be a decent replacement compressor for $189.99. Other places are showing $700-900 on average. Online reviews look alright and they've been around for a while.

Thanks!

I have the reciept at work but bought mine from a great place with fast shipping. I also did the valve block because we were chasing this random issue. Turned out to be the damn Suncore front struts. I am about to yank them and put Arnotts in. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Suncore struts as they suck. I can get the name of the place I ordered the pump from though tomorrow. Similar price if I remember.

I was referring to the Suncores not the rest of the parts, just stuck me as odd that's all considering the rest of the car.

Oh! No, yeah..... I am with you 100%. That was a bone head move on my part. I was all set to order the Arnotts (OEM was on backorder and I believe still are) and when I did one last Google search for best price I used the damn Suncore P/N and glazed over when I saw $500 and just ordered them. Was not until I had the constant issues that I figured out what I had done and felt right stupid. I know Suncore sucks and didnt want them. I had them dropped at my shop and told my tech slap them in while on vacation so never even saw the dang boxes. Since then I have removed them several times and can do both sides in under 2 hours with proper tools and TQ specs. So yeah, if OEM was available.... even at $1500 each I would buy them. The dang Arnotts are $750 each now and not everywhere.

If the Suncores do turn out to be POS, I'll probably rebuild my originals (or sell the car before it gets too bad??).
