P164E00 Code
2013 Audi A8L 4.0t. No check engine light but have one active code that won't clear. Anyone have experience with this? It says Oil pressure regulation valve electrical error. Thanks for the help.

Found a few references to this code on other sites. Most are associated with either a recent oil change, or mods done to the car. Do either of those apply here?
A few did say they 'fixed' it by cleaning and/or re-seating the oil pressure sensor connectors, near the oil filter.

"P" Code reads like OBDII generic scanner. True? If so, try VCDS or equivalent and see if that code info in VCDS/Audi speak is more specific. Searching via those codes can also yield better results specific to Audi's and the given motors.

If it's not the wiring or loose connectors, maybe try replacing the N428 valve.
Might have to move the A/C compressor to get to it. Should be lower driver's side of engine block.

Since it is an actual valve and not just a sensor my assumption is oil pressure may not be regulated properly which in general would be overall bad, but perhaps it has a built in fail-safe so it faults to the side of less engine damage...kinda like thermostats which fail open instead of fail closed, but I don't really know. GL
