Pistol Storage

I switched to the Bodyguard because I noticed more and more that I was just leaving my pistol in the car. I can open carry anytime I want because I live in MT and my boss doesn't mind. But the H&K P2000 I normally carried on my hip was always getting in the way. I don't even notice the Bodyguard in my pocket.
Truthfully living in rural MT I'll be more likely to use it to dispatch an injured animal than for personal protection. But working in a lumber mill we get truck drivers from all over. 99.9% of them are great people. But every once in a while you get one that makes you nervous. Add to that the 19% unemployment rate in our county. We get people in all the time asking if we are hiring. We tell them no but here's an application just in case we do in the future. Again most are fine. But sometimes you get somebody who gets upset. I understand their frustration but frustrated people do dumb things sometimes.

Pt745 in center console. For me, but there Is a better way. BlackHawk Serpa "CQC"quick release system. I believe it's the male part that mounts under dash or Anywhere you like in any position. The female part mounts to the Blackhawk holster that fits your gun. Push the release tab and gun slips right out while very secure otherwise. To remove holster & gun just twist and it removes ready to remount in any other male part in that car or any other car that has the male part. The kit comes with one female section and 3 male sections There's some very good eBay vids showing how it works. You can find certain kits on eBay too

Nothing sticky either. I'll stick with the P2000 in the door card and the Bodyguard in my pocket. I guess I could keep an AR or two in the trunk as well but that seems like overkill.

I wouldn't want anything sticky in the car either. The only way I'd consider Velcro is if there's a suitable area up under the dash where you couldn't see the black Velcro against the black plastic unless standing on your head in floorboard looking hard to see the little disc. It doesn't really matter to me anyway with the A8, I just keep the .45 in console.
I would agree though the easiest , quickest deployment would be by the driver side door with barrel facing rear
