Yeah, that would be a surprise!

What's even more surprising is how a Stage 1 pulls through 3rd and 4th gear - picking up a quarter mile in the low 11s. 700 ft-lbs of torque all the way through those gears....it's amazing. 3.5 seconds to 60 is quick but it's a compromise considering the size of turbos and weight of the car.

Get the S8. Not just about the look / weight and being a sleeper. The quality of the inside materials and ride will more then pay for itself as a great car to drive the majority of time your not flooring it.

I understand the ride is sweet. And yes, most of the time it is just driving. Appreciate the advice. My wife likes it too [cheaper used market].

Having ridden in both Stock and comparing them b2b with my car stage1. If everything was even? I would do what I did ad get the A8L and have the rear seat executive package and still cut 0-60 in 3.8 all while cruising at 80 and returning 22mpg on highway! But for your question: S8 all the way. Based on the 80-90% life of a daily will be putting around and living the boring life. You want crazy go drive your RS6, you want smooth luxury private jet: go S8.

The S8. No question. I've driven both cars plenty. I have the S8, with the APR Stage 1. Yes, the RS7 is loud, keep in mind the rear end is not separated by a legit trunk and all the insulation associated with it. There's only material separating you from that exhaust. Its a totally different car. Its my understanding the RS7 is based on the 6 frame. And when I drive it, it seems narrow to me. I like the comfort of the 8, the width of the seat. The RS7 looks like it would be Darth Vadar's car, if he had a car....aggressive. But my S8 will do whatever I want it to do. I live in the triple digits and it feels safe and solid.
