Would appreciate you updating on that after the BSG service action is completed. I also have the Matrix update. Angrypengu is likely correct that it's two separate modules and that the BSG software update won't affect the Matrix settings, but with these systems...Quien sabe!
TIA

I just received my "Emissions Service Action" requiring me to have the BSG replaced. In California, this is a required service in order to register the vehicle.

27BQ Action: BSG replacement: In on Tuesday, back on Wednesday. Looks like there are enough new 4N1-903-028 BSGs sitting around here in Minnesota.
Repair description says the technician removed the front right wheel and inner fender liner plus underside "skidplate" to access the BSG.
Is it possible that I may now move on to worry about something else?

The only other issue I've seen on these cars is the rocker arm bearings on the V6 engines. I don't think it is something that affects your car. Congrats on getting this behind you.

1) Argue about premium vs advanced B&O sound
2) Fret over no auto start stop disable
3) Complain about fingerprints on dual screen and gloss black surfaces
4) Get angry about the car unable to make you an espresso while driving
