It arrived! The were even nice enought to include the attaching bolts.

Bleach! Finally coughed up the hairball.

The new pedals arrived as well, thanks to |skolnic. Unfortunately, as you can see one of the flanges was broken off during shipping. It should be fine. There are five other bolts holding the thing on anyway. The intact flange is on the brake side anyway, the important side.

Gotta see if I can get the starter out of the way to get the torque converter and flexplate off. My new seals should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully, so will the flywheel I bought so I can start putting this thing back together. Damn, I can't wait to drive this baby.

Default I would see if I could get that TIG weleded back on. You do not want any flex....

in that bracket because it will make the pedal feel spongy and the alloy could fatigue after a while.

I would have it TIG welded. You can put a lot of weight on something when you stand on it.

Have you got the gear selection shaft, the one on the box looks damaged/cut off?

I'll be fabricating one. Going to cannibalize a 90 for the shift lever, make it work with that.

Default It's a shame, there are loads of old 100's and early A6's around here and ....

most of 'ours' are manual boxes. It would be an easy find but then here, you would probably not bother doing the swap because you could easily buy a manual box car.
