Default Battery draining problem? - 92 100CS

I put in a new battery, tested the alternator (and is charging), even unplugged the Bose stereo, but there is steady decline in my battery.

After a charge, the car runs perfectly. I have noticed that the battery gets worse after a lot of short trips. (vs. long trips)

I know it could short somewhere, but I'm hoping that it's a common problem or that someone has seen this before.

Thanks in advance.

check the fusistor relays. actually that is not the name, but they act like circuit breakers and will pop if you draw too much current. problem is, some of them are 30 amp, which even if it doesn't pop will take a batter down.

they are located under the hood, back by the fire wall on drivers side. if you suspect that current is drawing and taking the battery down, put you hand on the relays. see if one of them is hot. in my case, it turned out to be the auto-all window close fusistor. something in that circuit is drawing current. my "fix" was to leave the fusistor out. the only thing that is not working is the "all window close" feature, which is nice but i can live without until i figure it out.

one problem the 100's have is the window module can go bad, go out at night and take a look inside the car to see if the window switches are staying lit up. don't open the doors or anything just look thru the windows. if they are lit up then your module is bad, you will find many posts here on battery dead and most trace down to the module, also called the "auto close" to solve the problem you can remove the fuse and not use the windows or replace the module ( it is in the door lock pump) which means you have to replace the whole door lock Vac pump assembly, or you can do the "cut the yellow wire" Mod. but first verify this is the problem. this is the same problem that Audijim113 has just mentioned. if this is your problem then search for "yellow wire mod" for the repair. or what you can do is unplug the pump and see if it starts in the morning but you will not be able to use your locks or windows with it unplugged.
