Bypassing Ignition Switch

Bypassing Ignition Switch
Does anyone have an idea what pins on the ignition switch wiringharness I need to connect in order to start the car? I am just curious because I would like to test the starter out and make sure everything is ok there. I know that pins 50 and 50b have soemthing to do with the alternator, but I need to know which of the other 6 pins i need to connect. Thanks

Re: Bypassing Ignition Switch
OK well i just made a jumper wire from wire 30 to 50 and put the key in the switch and tried to crank it over, nothing happened. Everything else still worked like before, fuel pump, relays clicking etc, but no crank over.
I fear the switch may be ok, the starter may be the culprit. Any definite tests I can perform on the starter. I need to be able to take this car to Victoria with me this coming week.

don't keep the jumper in place
all you have to do is touch 30 to 50
if it doesn't crank then yes it maybe a dead or stuck starter..
30 is hot all the time
and 50 goes to the + on the starter
