Head gaskets - do or die?
Well, she finally needs head gaskets (94 100 CSQ)
I'm wondering if this is the beginning of the end, or just one of the biggest maintenance one-time things that I've had to do, which once done, will leave me with a better car.
Would you do the big job, or start looking for another Audi? (that ellusive used Allroad is getting more and more affordable!)
Opinions welcomed!

Depending on why it needs 'em, I'd do 'em...
Just make certain that's what you need by taking alot of extra time to diagnose whatever your problem is.
No, it doesn't mean the engine is "done" or even close to it. Headgaskets can fail due to age, getting too hot, or the seals for the oil gallies leaking. So, not that big a deal, but quite a lot of work.
Anyway, I'd definately do them. No questions asked.
