Imprex sent wrong gauge wire...
when I placed an order through them for my headlamp conversion to the eruo spec ones off importvision.com. I have been waiting so long to get this project done, have the pair of headlights sitting in my closet. Do I have to order through them again or would Classic Audi have the wire for me if I went to them. Not sure if Classic Audi is everywhere, in NY its a dealer but also a parts department. What should I do? Thanks!

Hmmm... not very imprexsive is it? I mean impressive...
Well, what kind of wire is it that you need? I can get cheap wire at a warehouse I used to work at called CablePlus. I get cost there. So find out what kinda wire it's *supposed* to be, and I'll call 'em up, find out if they have it.
They've got all kinds of stranded (multiple #'s of strands), #'s of conductors, etc.

Gee, thats real nice of you....
I'm not sure what gauge wire its suppose to be, I had gotten the part number from mikesho because he had done the same headlamp conversion, however, the wire they sent me was too small and didnt stay in the harness at all. I'm kinda confused as to whether imprex messed up or mikesho gave me the wrong part number for the wire. But mikesho checked and checked again to make sure he gave me the right number and he said that he did. The wire he got worked for him but not for me. Thats why I've been stuck in the middle of this project since then. How could I find out what the right wire is? I called importvision, the place I got them from, and they have no idea, they just sell the headlamps. More of a warehouse than technical company.

well when I got the headlamps...
I realized I needed more parts so mikesho gave me part numbers to three different things I would need. One being the wire. I got the wire and you are suppose to insert it into a plastic piece that attached to the headlamp. It makes a connection between four prongs in the headlamp to the plastic "harness" which you are suppose to insert this wire into and then adjust the harness to the lock position and then you simply attach the power wires and what not from the the car to the wires coming out of the harness. When I insert the wire into the harness and move it to lock the wire slips right out. The gauge of the wire is much too small. So I dont have the right size wire I need for it to be locked in the harness. Thats where I am now.
