mmmm...
This baby was parked in a shopping center lot in Pittsburgh...5 Q7's, an RS4, and an A6. Crappy pics, all I had was my phone.

Cool! I want one of those car covers! I bet they throw them away too.
I was next to a Q7 a few months ago in the Bay Area. I wasn't really that impressed. It just looked like morf of a Toureg/BMW-whatever SUV. Kind of like they took a picture of an Avant and punched a button that said, "Enlarge 25%" and then built it. I guess I was hoping for something a little different.

That's been what I've always loved about Audi. They always had something different going on. Always some different engine setup with high output whatever and a crazy traction system, and body styles that were way ahead of their time...along with being sort of timeless in a way.
To see the Q7 I just thought.....great, every poser socker mom and wanna be office jockey will just have to have one of those.
I love the Toureg, but I've never understood the Cayenne....let alone how anyone would be caught dead driving one. It's like a 911 nose glassed onto a Hummer or something.

I also agree...
But on the other hand, I think both Porsche and Audi are negating their stupid SUV designs with what they are designing on the other end of the spectrum. (Carrera GT, GT3, R8, RS4). I also think Audi still has the upper hand on every other car manufacturer, due to quattro and pricing. Absolutely the best bang-for-your-buck available! Despite what it looks like on the outside, it's still an amazing machine...And I like to think that Audi makes something available for everyone. Even if it is an ugly SUV, it will still backup their reputation of quality and make the owner happy as can be.

Soccer Mom's lower the price on parts...think of the silver lining. The Q7 is simply a jacked Avant...I want diesel...if the wife needs to tow something let it be...cheaper parts...good. Less bending over to empty it from the store too. More parts.
Porsche should have exaggerated the nose as if it were in a fight. Beef it up? Stronger lines? Why? when they had this...
