Default Part# 4A0 971 172 B ?

While I was searching for wiring for a CD changer in my 1995 A6 Quattro with the Audi/Bose GammaCC unit, i found this part in the trunk that appears to go from the Bose box(Speaker Amp?) in the trunk that has wiring that spreads to both sides of the car, and also hooks into the two rear speakers above the trunk. It's a black hook up that appears to be a 25-pin connector that looks like something you might hook your old computer printer up to. The number i found on it was 4A0 971 172 B. On the other side it looked like there was a letter and two numbers, each circled... C 2 4 maybe? It was hard to get to, I was a little worried about messing up the lining in the trunk.
Thanks for your help.

Wierd? I just searched on google, and it showed 4A0 971 172 as a cellular phone amplifier(no B), I looked at the picture and saw what looked like the part plugged into a box on that site. There are more wires hidden, maybe I'll find the wiring for the disc changer.

Default that's for the phone.. CD harness is on the pass side.

mine was inside the pass side fender behind the carpet about 10-12 inches from the floor of the trunk..
it was tucked away so it look like just another harness running somewhere.

Default One more Question.

Thanks for the tip on the passenger's side, I believe I have located it. Looks rectagular with 12-13 holes, and has a number 443 972 523 on top. If this is it, and I find a 10-disc'er that is compatible, will the head unit just recognize it and work with the mode button and fast forward controls? With that said, could anyone direct me to a 10 disc changer that is compatible.
Thanks a lot.

No, you also need the transceiver box.

Default So, am I out of luck?

I take it then, that it is nearly impossible to come across an original transceiver for this CD changer and head unit?

Default Keep checking

Look on audifans and ebay, people sell whole kits occasionally (mount, changer, transceiver).
