Special tools for rear upper control arm replacement?

This is the ball joint puller I just used on both of mine.

That large one is nice, definately a must have for the tool quiver...
but the little one fits in tight places and really is a brut. You just have to remember to leave the nut on the threaded stud, flush with the top of the stud so you don't mash the threads and so you've got some surface area to push against.
