Sun Roof Water Channel Repair Question

I searched the forum & found many of you have fixed the stupid designed water channel attachment brackets. After my wife came home today & said the sunroof leaked into her pocketbook, I found my rattling sunroof shade problem...I can't see a way to repair these other than J B Weld with the unit in the car. According to the Bentley manual it doesn't look like a bad job to replace the channel with a new one. The book says you must remove the glass roof panel which looks like a 15-30 minuet job & the rest is a piece of cake. These parts remind me of the supports for the sunroof on my type 44. Audi did revise the design & make a stronger replacement part for them. Please let me know your thoughts & opinions on how I should repair this.
And does anything attach to the eyelet @ the rear of the thing?

Which is an Aerospace epoxy. Once dry, its will be stronger then the aluminum its glued too! ;O)
The key is surface prep, cure temps & time.

http://www.devcon.com/worldwideframe.html</a

Re: Devcon 9394 Help
Thanks for the link. I can't find an adhesive or epoxy you refer to with that number on the site the numbers may have changed. Is the material:
Aluminum Putty F (10610)or one of the epoxies like Metal Welder(14366)?

It was loose in the roof cavity I needed to...
Hook onto it with a piece of wire to pull it out once I got in line with where it is to be attached to the sliding panel I slid the sun shade front & it just slipped out on an angle. If I fix to out of the car I will be hard to put it back in. Being able to have it out will just help in preparing it for cement or epoxy. Unless someone suggests I remove the small riveted bracket off to fix it then screw them back on.
