clutch questions for 5 cylinders
As my car is about to hit 160,000, im thinking it will be time soon for a new clutch. How much of a job is this to replace. I have replaced 2 clutches on Jetta II and a 82 rabbit. These engines are transversely mounted, and you must disconnect the motor mounts in order to scoot the tranny out...i remember it being a PITA....Is it easier for these 5 cylinders? Anyone done it?
Just remove the axles,unbolt the tranny and remove? any info would help.

i had to remove my headers also and play around with a floor jack to lift the front of the engine slightly, and i had to loosen the motor mounts to get it out, but then again some of my stuff was bent. My car was once hurt in an accident
