yea... thinking of having my 84 4kQ's welded off before the repaint.... Any suggestions or BTDT's?
I figure because there is such a large gap between the sunroof and the roof itself (and so much crap attached to the bottom of it) it'd be easier to find a non sunroof model and chop out a square larger then my sunroof opening and overlay that (to retain the contour of the roof... im trying to avoid a flat spot on top as much as possible). Anyone else ever remove a sunroof?

i haven't done it.. but even if you seal it off.. the interior is still setup for a sunroof..
i'd find it pretty silly to have no sunroof but have it still appear to have one from the inside.. i suppose you could try and find a non-sunroof headliner and such if you really want to go through all the trouble

you and your sunroof battles.. ive adjusted mine a couple times..
got it right once.. then tried closing it at night when i had a water ski on the roof.. part of the binding got stuck in the gap and when the roof closed it cracked a bunch of the lift mechanism and sent it all out of whack. i somehow got it good enough even with it half broken and refuse to touch it again lol
