I would just ditch the vaccuum pump. Really don't need it.

Is the negative pressure in the intake sufficient to operate the brake servo unit if pmp is bypassed

Default Absolutely. The vacuum pump is there for left foot braking....

as far as the literature I've read. Although, I really don't see what difference it makes with 115hp ;-)

Wothout it, the normal braking action is plenty, just like 95% of other vac boosted cars out there.
