Default Door handle question inside.....

Well the 4k handles are different than my old 5k, who would have thought? My old 5k had a ball and socket connection to the rod and these have a rod with a plastic clip. My question is will that clip just pop out so I don't have to remove the door card? Any tricks on handle replacement?

Thanks...again

Default Front handle replacement, I assume?

This was a royal PITA the first time I did it. A long time ago at an Audi meet I saw a guy replace a 5ktq handle from the outside without removing the door panel.
I found it impossible to do on the 4kq. The only way Ive done it is by removing the door panel, and even then its not fun. THe tricky part is getting those stupid rods in their correct places. I actually tape the trigger so its partially held in so the rods are easier to hook up.

Default UPDATE.... Well I just replaced the handle and same thing......

old handle wasn't broken as I had thought but it seems the throw rod is too short to unlatch the lock. Is there any adjustment on these?
