Default mine would have to be when i ran a detail and accessory center..........

for a very large ford, subaru dealership that also had a import new car dealership. they sold audi, vw, porsche, mercedes, and mitsubishi.

i loved seeing and driving all those cars. being involved with how they appear. picking the ones i wanted custom painted and customizing them. working with service and the bodyshop. i learned alot. but the feeling of driving a new 911 of the transport is just amazing.

i also like the power. not only did i have my 24 man crew, but i was the determining factor in alot. if a salesman sold a car and wanted it to the customer right away, he had to beg and plead with me to get it in and some crew working on it. if they wanted to sell accessories, they needed me to install them. in many causes, i would have to determine what was possible with the vehicles for accessories and customizations.

i got to pick pickups and vans off the lot and send them out to be custom painted. then customize them. it was fun deciding what a brand new vehicle will look like. it's funny cause i see some of the custom trucks i designed and built around town. they're like my children.

i also got a demo vehicle. but i just took the cash monthly and put my demo plate on any vehicle i wanted to drive. this way i could change whenever i wanted. being stuck with 1 car for 6 months kinda sucks when a nice porsche or benz comes in. if i needed a truck to haul stuff, i'd take one. ahhh, it was nice.

by the way, it was run as my own shop. i paid rent to the dealership. the money made at the shop was mine. and it was very good money. : )

Default def not the one I'm doing now... but it's my first full time gig (5 years later)

so I don't have much other experience.

i'd say the most fun/best learning experience was working with the family business. I worked in the shipping department as well as the maintenance. Def learned a lot of tricks of the trade (painting, running electricity, gas lines, use a fork lift, drive a box truck, etc etc) and how to truely work hard. Being the grandson of the business, I had to work twice as hard as anyone else Wouldn't trade those experiences for the world, and still miss it sometimes.

looking forward to finishing off my MBA in May and picking up a new job. Not sure what that's going to be at the moment, but the networking has already started. hope to have something lined up by the time I finish school, but wouldn't mind screwing around till the end of the summer so I can enjoy the beach one last time

Default Farm hand on the family farm....

I had a great time working numerous summers at a Generous Manufacturer of Cars and trucks - played alot of baseball and football on the factory roof, cards, etc. but the best job was working with my cousins at the big family farm - lunch at my grandparents, driving deuce water trucks and dump trucks hauling hay and silage, driving cattle, catching rays, breaking tractors, trucks and whatever else we got our hands on. I used to dread the job but now realize that it was the best summer job I ever had....cue Brian Adams.....

Default Weapons augmentee on a British EC-130

I got to hang out the doors at 250ft off the ground, 450kts of ground speed, looking for Surface-to-Air Missiles that got popped off at us, tell the pilot so he could evade with up to 60-degrees of bank!

It was a riot.... especially when we brought an entire case of ping-pong ***** and threw them at cows, coyotes, and rabbits in the middle of the Nevada desert.... (the cheese was even funnier)

Default that is fun. when i was in the country i ran cattle and helped with the crops...

cattle in a feed lot and the crops were corn, sunflowers, beans, and wheat. it was a very large operation so i did pretty much everything they'd let me. man i miss driving tractors, trucks, and combines.
