Has anyone come across CLEAR seat covers? Plastic, or better yet, breathable (perforated) nylon?

I figured everyone would immediately think of the old sticky clear plastic furniture covers.....
I'm envisioning a lightweight, breathable, semi-clear synthetic like nylon. I mentioned perforated, because that would accomplish the breathability.
I don't at all want to hide my seats- just protect them. The truth of the matter is, I've seen seat covers CAUSE damage by rubbing on the same spots over time.
I may have to hit the fabric shops to see if I can find what I am picturing, and if so, locate a company (I think I know of one) that makes custom seat covers using factory patterns (or at least come very close to the contours).
I should probably have mentioned that this would be for the "special" cars that get driven occasionally during warm weather and not a daily driver.
And yes, I can imagine the back of my legs sticking to that heavy clear plastic like many of our grandparents had on their "good" furniture!

a while back, jc whiteny carried them. i haven't seen them lately, but it's worth a check....
your other option i'd to go to a shop, dealer, detailer, etc.. they can lead you towards a parts supplier that sells the plasit ones that they use to cover the seat of vehicles they are working on so they don't get any grease on the seats.

If you're driving the car infrequently I wouldn't worry too much about wear & tear...
I'd be more worried about sun/etc. Unless you're....ahem....larger than the seat's intended capacity (you're not), I'd just take care getting in and out of the car....and don't carry around a George Costanza-sized wallet in your back pocket.
