Ive noticed that quite a few people use the hella 500 lights, or have used them. How should these be mounted? It looks like its just a bolt on design.

I made the mistake of directly mounting the lights to the top of my bumper. Since Audi tends to overengineer their vehicles, you'll find the inside of the bumper has an aluminum frame to it, so when you drill holes there's a gap between the plastic and the frame. I recommend using a special light mounting kit for that reason instead of just slapping them on out of the box like I did, which made the lights flop around too much and crimped the plastic.
